| Billy Elvis was born in Detroit Michigan, and was raised a diehard fan of Motor City sports teams including the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, & Pistons. Please don't hold that against him. But his earliest memory is of the Michigan Wolverines, and specifically, their intense rivalry with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Billy played all sports while growing up, and even considered playing college football at Central Michigan University after earning Michigan all state honors as a high school linebacker. Throughout his radio career that began right after High School, Billy has maintained that the lessons he has learned by watching & playing sports have taught him valuable life lessons. Things like team work, hard work, game plan, preparation, setting goals, and the thrill of victory & agony of defeat. Billy brings this love of sports to the show everyday, and his passion & competitiveness is also very evident. As an adult, and we use that word loosely, Billy plays softball, golf, bowls, and watches any & all sports as often as possible. And while Billy truly enjoys his working relationship with his co-host Stiller, he'll never let him forget that there will always be some type of wedge between them since he's a fan of the dreaded Buckeyes! |
